Now that I’m working from home the challenge has been making a place for my art practice that fits, without jarring, into my home and family life. I love my home, my husband and my family – and my garden. I love being a wife, a mother, a sister, daughter and friend. I enjoy cooking, washing, cleaning – and reading lots of books – and I also love painting. I have the immense privilege of really loving so many aspects of my life.
I have no strict timetable for painting but I do carve out time when I’m very focused and single minded about it – and then there are other times when it has to take a back seat. The ebb and flow of balancing my priorities makes life interesting and never static. So far it’s working well.
