My practice is centred on interpreting place through colour, texture and observation. From hyperrealistic botanical watercolours and lino prints to my current expressive acrylic and oil landscapes, I explore the relationship between nature, memory and emotional connection.

Landscape, for me, is more than a physical location; it carries atmosphere, memory and feeling. Through layered surfaces, intuitive mark-making and considered colour, I seek to evoke the experience of being immersed in a place rather than simply recording it.

My background as an art and music teacher and classical violinist informs my approach, with music shaping my sense of rhythm, harmony and movement, and teaching fostering curiosity and continual learning. Across painting, watercolour and printmaking, I remain interested in craftsmanship, materiality and the expressive possibilities of different media, allowing each to shape how I respond to place.
